Jung Mi is a fourth (or fifth) culture kid who was born in Korea but grew up in two different countries, including one which was home to an international boarding school where she attended for several years, before arriving at a small liberal arts college in the Midwest of U.S.A. After her BA in writing, she went on to receive her MFA from a midwestern university. She is often the grim reaper of conversations because she firmly rejects the notion of there being a right time and place for racial and social justice and equity discussion especially in terms of intersectionality and inclusion. Her social calendar looks nothing like Brett Kavanaugh's summer of 1982 calendar.
She had hoped he would stop and she could pretend that he had never said those things. Because she desperately wanted her math teacher, the teacher who teaches her very favorite subject, to be nice, to be a good person.
